iExperience: Amy at Tennis

Learning Observed:
This week, began four week sessions of tennis for the learners habitat. Each session is 30 minutes with coach Marcel from AceSports on a Thursday. Tennis is a competitive sport in New Zealand that has two players. A player has to hit the tennis ball over the net back and forth to their competitor. The object of the sport is to win the set or until you reach a tie breaker.


Key Competencies/ Vision Principles:
Amy is beginning to demonstrate skill in all Physical Education activities. She is enthusiastic about tennis and tries her best. Amy is beginning to show capability of skills in holding the tennis racquet and balancing the tennis ball. She is beginning to demonstrate skills in throwing and bouncing the tennis ball. Amy is able to collaborate with others and listen carefully to the instructions given by Marcel, the tennis coach.


Next Learning Steps:

Amy is still developing capability skills in hitting and catching the ball.

Continue to practice bouncing and catching the ball.
